Asthma: Asthma attacks are due to bronchospasm of the smooth muscle of the bronchial tree. This comes about secondary to inflammation or the tubes and often factors such as cold and drying out of the respiratory lining. Rest, warm moist air and hydration help. If you have access to an inhaler that can help. However, if not try rest, drink fluids and a dose of magnesium and a coffee or tea may help.
