Ovarian cyst ?'s: Ovarian cysts at age 17 are rarely a concern for cancer. Brown blood is just oxidized blood, and may be normal if your menstrual flow is heavy, as clots will block the passage of blood in the cervical canal, making the blood a darker or brownish color. Ask your gyn about low dose oral bcp's, which will reduce your menstrual flow.
