A member asked:

My testicles feel achey, sore, & heavy. have never had sex. talked to a doc via online services and was told it may be a build up of fluid. similarly, i asked this question 2 years ago on healthtap & was given a similar response. wanted a 3rd opinion?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can examine: A college-aged guy is not likely to have testicular cancer, but testis soreness should not be ignored. His primary care doctor should closely examine both testes and scrotum. The problem may turn out to be an underwear issue, meaning the lack of adequate support from his underwear during daily activities or sports. His doctor will check the pelvis, abdomen, and nodes to look for any issues there.
