Irritation on upper gums, and foul taste in mouth?

Irritation/taste: Sounds like you may have a gum infection or abscessed tooth. Oral infections have been implicated in heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, pre-term low birth weight babies, and many other inflammatory dyscrasias. See your Dentist immediately. Problems like yours don't self cure, and there's no pill/poltice/snake oil/supplement/homeopathic that will substitute for professional care. Dentist>Now!
