Not unusual: Petecchiae and ecchymosis don't blanch. These are signs of bleeding into the skin These on the abdominal wall are common soon after abdominal laparoscopic surgery and should resolve in 7-10 days. New areas of involvement or incisional abnormalities warrant a call to the surgeon.
