A member asked:

Should i add my -0.25 cyl (r) to my -0.50 (both eyes) eyeglasses if my right eye is a little lazy because of my eyelid which is more droopy than the other? i often feel my right eye tired and see double the little subtitles on tv.

DIY eyeglasses?...: Adjusting glasses strength is usually not a Do-It-Yourself thing. Lazy-eye means different things to different patients, so we usually bring the patient in to see what he is talking about. Glasses prescriptions are done by an eye doctor after he decides on a diagnosis. The don't just "add cylinder." It's more complex than that and is 50% art, 50% science combined so the patient enjoys his glasses.
