It's Complex: The meaning is that the arteries (vascular) that were checked have in their wall fat (athero) and hardened (sclerosis), (diffuse) that it is widespread, (disease) It's a medical problem. (<50% stenosis) means that this hardened fat in the artery narrow down the lumen but does not generate ischemia (lack of blood to the organ) (no evidence of hemodynamically significant stenosis)
