What does high mxd levels mean on blood test . ?

Mono's, Eo's, Baso's: Of the 5 main types of white blood cells, the amount of neutrophils and lymphocytes helps us decide whether an infection is bacterial vs. viral. The other 3 types of white blood cells (monocytes, eosinophils, basophils) are sometimes counted together as the "mixed cell count" or MXD blood test. In the US, we don't count them together as the MXD, but we look at mono's, eo's, and baso's separately.
