ER can evaluate: Chest pain with chest pressure can be due to a heart attack, so is considered an emergency. An ER doctor can evaluate (a person usually calls 911 or the local emergency number for an ambulance). Possible causes include angina or heart attack, partial pneumothorax (collapsed lung), asthma, pneumonia, stomach acid reflux, myocarditis, etc... One should not wait with such symptoms.
