Nobody knows: Doctors typically don't check males for HPV. When there are HPV-infected cells in small numbers, nobody knows. Such cells can spread HPV viruses. So, every boy should be vaccinated along with every girl. That prevents the main cancer-causing strains. To prevent the other strains, it requires that people have almost no sexual contact except with one person, maybe 2, probably not 3... in a lifetime.
