Basics: Azithromycin is a drug of choice to kill off chlamydia. When taken in the proper dose it is effective. Future infection risk can be reduced with condoms but not completely. Avoiding sex with an infected partner is the main goal. You can be re-tested in a few weeks to be sure it is gone.
