A member asked:

There are days where i feel pain in my ribs, they shift n a big lump appears n i cant move once that happens. its painful. it feels like my ribs have shifted. what could it be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Doctor can check: A lump on the chest wall can be from the skin, the muscles, the lymph nodes, the ribs, etc... The person to see first is the primary care doctor, who can then refer to a specialist if he is not able to diagnose and solve the problem. A lump can be a cyst, a lymph node, an infected oil gland, etc..., but if obviously related to rib movement, a rib may be dislocating and relocating.
