My friend says some parts of his skin like in his arms, legs, etc. is losing its feelings/being numb. and in his right thumbs nail, it has sa brown vertical line which appeared 3 months ago. is it all connected? is it cancer? what could this be?

Evaluation: I recommend 2 courses of action. Consult a neurologist to investigate the symptom of scattered skin numbness as multiple sclerosis is a possible cause. Consult a dermatologist to evaluate the discolored area in the thumb nail. There are various causes of this. Appropriate testing will be done.
