I saw my pcp because i have what he described as a mass on rib on my right side, lowest rib. it is hard like bone and immovable. ive been sick for years and no one has figured out why. any ideas?

A targeted biopsy of the area if actively changing or of enlarged lymph nodes may be indicated. I would suggest screening tests for malignancy and a follow up consultation with Pulmonology.

Not enough: Too many possibilities with only 2 non-specific issues: being sick for years and a rib mass. Work up will likely be undertaken to include bloodwork and likely imaging for the rib mass, unclear even if the 2 of them are related at all. Details will be extremely important.
