PEP: If your partner is known to have HIV or at high risk (e.g. a sex worker, multiple partners, etc), find a doctor experienced in prescribing post exposure prophylaxis (PEP) -- i.e. treatment with anti-HIV drugs for a month to prevent an infection from taking hold. Such treatment is widely available in your country. Do it ASAP: PEP needs to start within 72 hr, ideally 24-48 hr. Good luck.
