Depends how much : If the nail is already lifting, there may be nothing to do to stop it from coming off.For now, you should keep it bandaged for as long as you can,to prevent it from catching on something and ripping it off, possibly causing more pain and damage. As new nail grows (underneath old nail), it will push this nail off, but the new nail will be there. Be sure to check under bandage daily for infection.
