A member asked:

My daughter complained of a heart pain, chest pain and her heart was beating fast what could be the problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Time to see a doctor: Chest pressure, chest pain, and rapid heart rate are signs that she should talk with her doctor right away or go to the ER. In adults, chest pain can be a heart attack but that's rare under age 35. If it turns out not to be that or an arrhythmia, pericarditis, myocarditis, or anxiety attack symptoms, the ER will also have checked for problems such as a collapsed lung or a pneumonia.
