Squeak: Noise cancelling devices should help...I suspect there is more than just loud noise and a cause, such as arthritis or tendinitis might be found. Would suggest starting with a physical exam with your primary care doc.

Tendon: a stiff tendon would tend to squeak. A trial in an NSAID would be a reasonable thing to try. Other medical therapy that may be helpful is a steroid injection into the tendon. You should also consider a possible thyroid problem. Perhaps a trial of either flaxseed or fish oil.
