A worrisome response: Some people who have been depressed for a long time and who, finally, start to become symptom-free can experience brief euphoria as energy levels finally get back to normal and life seems interesting again. HOWEVER... multi-day euphoria accompanied by unusually high energy levels or decreased need for sleep could be mania and urgently requires medical attention because mania can be disastrous.
