Soon after i wake, i have a pain in my left side (abdomen) but it goes away after an hour or so. it reoccurs every day. what is causing this?

Doctor can check: Many things are in the upper abdomen: stomach, pancreas, liver, small intestine, gall bladder, large intestine, abdominal muscles, etc... An exam by a primary care doctor can help figure things out. The stomach itself and the spleen are in the left upper abdomen. Pain in the upper abdomen, especially symptoms that occur after eating, can be due to pancreatic or gall bladder problems too.
