After looking at one of my recent questions, i would like to confirm something. basically, i have been having black stool for the past 2 days. i was thinking about something black i was eating.could a fiber purple drink cause it? black beans?chocolte

Black stools: Black stools are seen with bleeding from the upper gi tract-usually stomach or duodenum. Blackish stool can be caused by taking iron supplements or bismuth products like peptobismol. A simple test in the physicians office can detect whether the black stool is from blood or not. I recommend seeing your MD ASAP and getting that simple test done. Gi bleeding is a serious issue.
