How do i treat a stubbed toe-very painful to walk on?

Stubbed toe: Which toe did you stub? If it’s the great toe, go to ER for X-ray. Important questions include: is the toe deformed or twisted, is the skin broken, is there a change in color of the toe or foot. If the answer to all 3 questions is no, you can probably treat at home. Apply ice packs (on 10 min, off 10 min). Buddy tape the injured toe to the next one if possible. Stay off your foot, elevate foot.
