Heavy pressing feeling on my left chest for some time now - is it just discomfortable or could it be dangerous? i know i am a bit of an anxious person, having been on an sri antidepr for a long time now. i'd rather not take stuff like benzo's.

Hard to guess: Chest pressure, chest pain, or trouble breathing are signs that he should talk with his doctor right away or go to the ER. In adults, chest pressure can be a heart attack. He should not drive himself (safer by ambulance). If it turns out not to be myocarditis, heart attack symptoms, or anxiety attack symptoms, the ER will also have checked for problems such as a collapsed lung or a pneumonia.
