My throat has been feeling strange for a while now, i feel like ive got a lump in it all the time, plus i feel like i am struggling to talk properly, especially when i am on the phone which i am a lot at work. im really worried about this.

Doctor can examine: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or other causes such as allergies, irritants, or acid reflux. Usually, a person sees the doctor if symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away quickly. A person with a real "lump" sensation needs an in-person evaluation to check for a tumor or other problem.
