May need throat swab: Sore throat can be strep throat (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antivirals may be used), or from some other cause such as allergies or irritants. Usually, a person sees the doctor if symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away quickly (to see if antibiotics are needed). Hot flashes are considered the same as fevers. Doctor can examine, and maybe do a strep swab.

No treatment needed: Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is a pain medication; you should not expect it to help the symptoms you mention. Most likely you have a mild viral upper respiratory infection. From your description, it doesn't seem to need treatment. If it were me, I would just hang in there, get plenty of rest, and expect the symptoms to clear up in a few days.
