Fever?: If he is having a fever or difficulty breathing, please go to the Emergency room. Chest pain with a runny nose usually indicates lung lining inflammation or pleuritis. Monitor his breathing, provide fluids and then see your physician. Most illnesses with a runny nose are caused by a viral illness.
