I am a 61 year indian male. on thursday (17 oct) i burning urine and urge to pee. antibiotics started on sat - now finished 23 oct. still burning urine and urge. please suggest possible reason for this?

Some thoughts...: The reasons a guy might still have dysuria and urgency after a few days of antibiotic include: the infection being treated is resistant to the antibiotic, the dose is not high enough, the duration of antibiotic is not long enough, there is another problem causing the symptoms, the bacteria are dead but the inflammation has not all healed, etc... A doctor's recheck helps decide the next step.
