Swollen lymph node: A tender swollen lymph node in the neck is usually caused by a local infection. Front of neck can be from infected tooth/ gum. Back of neck can be sore on scalp or ingrown hair. It is important to have a doc check all lymph nodes to be sure that you don’t have more enlarged lymph nodes in various locations in your body.
