Why is my period still irregular after having copper iud fitted 9 (almost 10) months ago? sometimes ill bleed twice a month and then i will skip a month. also the length can range from 3-7 days and will can either be really light or really heavy.

Basics: A copper IUD is basically a foreign body in the womb that prevents a fertilized egg from implanting. Since it has no hormonal component like other IUD's, it has no influence on whatever your cycle pattern is whether normal or not.
