For about a week now ive been itching at the base of my neck where my hair line is it turns red when i scratch it ive noticed when i blow dry my hair it itches and when im hot.. what could this be? it itches randomly sometimes as well

Many possibilities: Sometimes scalp or top-of-neck itching is due to dandruff (also called seborrhea), dry scalp (sometimes called eczema), psoriasis (has thicker flaky areas), folliculitis (little infected hair follicles, with or without the hairs in them), acne bumps, contact dermatitis (allergic), scratchy clothing, pokey hair or fibers in shirt collars, one or more lice (hard to find before it lays eggs), etc...
