Not exactly: Seeing a large amount of poop on x-ray doesn't tell you exactly why you see a large amount. Likewise, seeing a large number of cars on the freeway does not tell you if there was a 4-car crash, a police roadblock, or something else. Seeing a lot of stool in the intestine usually just tells you that we want the amount of stool coming out to increase, and the amount of new stool forming to decrease.
