May be preterm labor: The cramps could be contractions and so could be preterm labor. One should be checked out by her Ob-Gyn doctor. That may mean going to the hospital and staying in the Labor and Delivery ward to be monitored to see what is going on. Meanwhile, avoid physical activities, having sex, and bumpy rides to the hospital. A baby born at 23 weeks is too early for survival. Hopefully everything is still ok.
