Hi i have had a really itchy anus for a while. not sure what the cause is. maybe because i stopped taking the potent live probiotics i was taking or im not sure what else has changed. please advise what i can do to stop this itching?

Some thoughts...: Doctors think about pinworms whenever a patient has an itchy butt. Patients get pinworms when they swallow some pinworm eggs (accidentally), such as when a person puts her fingers or hands in her mouth after getting an egg or two (or more) on her fingers or under her nails. Vermox is one medication for pinworms. There are of course other causes of itchy butt or itchy anus.
