Blood pressure respo: During vigorous exercise the systolic blood pressure and heart rate increase significantly. This is a normal response. It healthy people, after stopping vigorous exercise, the blood pressure gradually drops over a period of minutes. The time it takes to return to baseline blood pressure is somewhat variable.
