Urology Consult: 41y/o says, Been to Er, to reg dr for flank pain. Ct showed 3 small kidney stones. I've thrown up twice. When I drink the pain is worse. Any idea why? Signs are consistent with the Kidney Stones one already knows is there. best to see a Urology Consult for definitive management including additional evaluation and possible Diet changes depending on the kind of stones identified.

Urologist: Get a urologist involved in your care. Drinking fluids causes the stones to move which results in very severe pain. The urologist can determine the likelihood of the stone being fully passed and can advise you about the other 2 stones. Strain all your urine to catch the stone if it's passed. Bring it to the lab for analysis. Drink lots of fluids to enhance stone transit through the ureter.
