My wife just accidentally swallowed a loose tooth crown. it's porcelain and has 2 metal prongs below it. what should i do ? we have attempted to induce vomiting to no avail. please advise?

Swallowed crown: It should pass without incident. To be sure, however, you will have to examine her stool output until it safely passes. If the "metal prongs" stick out or are sharp, she may have to be followed with x-rays to assure that it does not get stuck and/or cause perforation of the bowel. Please inform your Physician and your Dentist immediately. Your Dentist will have record of it's exact shape.
