Increased risk: Multinodular goiters are associated with an increased risk of thyroid cancer. If a thyroid nodule is found to be cancerous, surgery is generally required. Most or all of your thyroid gland is generally removed with this surgery, after which you would have to take thyroid hormone replacement therapy for the remainder of your life. Please get examined regularly. I wish you well with your health!
