Pregnant ?'s: Delayed periods can be caused by delayed ovulation due to stress (emotional, job or school related). If pregnancy is possible, obtain a serum HCG test to be certain about pregnancy, as the levels of pregnancy hormone may be low if the home test is done right at the time of your missed period.

Hormonal imbalance: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
