Call your prescriber: Any change to your medication needs to be in collaboration with your prescriber, who knows your history . It would probably be ok but combining two medications that increase serotonin, which you would be doing, can cause a problem, called a serotonin syndrome. Characterized by unstable vital signs , agitation , diarrhea, increased reflexes. So you would benefit from the supervision of your dr.

Trazodone/ Escitalo: I understand your need for good sleep. I feel empathy for your recent traumatic event. It is likely that it caused emotional turmoil and insomnia. Combining Trazodone with Escitalopram may cause severe side effects including Serotonin Syndrome. Please see a Psychiatrist to discuss: • Increasing dose of Escitalopram • Psychotherapy • Release of Feelings of recent traumatic event for Healing
