Sore throat: This may be the start of a viral upper respiratory tract infection or a strep throat. Gargle with warm salt water and suck on soothing lozenges like cepestat. If sore throat doesn't gradually improve and no head cold ensues, get a rapid throat culture to check for strep which would require antibiotic treatment.
