I have heart palpitations & chest tightness due to psycosomatic. will this really damage my heart?

Doubtful: The heart muscle is very durable and it would take serious problems like chronic high blood pressure, valvular pathology, damage from coronary artery blockage, inflammation from viral infections, etc to damage it. That being said, you should consider stress management therapy to alleviate your chronic anxiety and stress symptoms.

Not directly but:: Whoever said it's psychosomatic believes it's due to stress/anxiety and there are no real problems with your heart. However, ongoing stress can lead to real physical illness. Sometimes things 1 Dr. labels psychosomatic may have other causes they missed. Stress, palpitations and chest tightness could be caused by magnesium deficiency.Try magnesium taurate, a good B complex and see an integrative Dr.
