I have started levlen on the first day of my cycle this month. first time. my period now is on day 12... still bleeding... is this normal for the first time of taking pill? when do i expect my period to stop? im scared it will continues for a month.

Oral bcp ?'s: If pregnancy was possible PRIOR to starting the bcp's, get a serum HCG test to be certain. If negative, make sure you are taking the Levlen punctually (within the hour of taking the daily active pill). The bcp's are very low dose, and any variation in timing can precipitate bleeding. Stop the pill, wait five days and start a new pack if the HCG is negative.
