Some basics: Chin strikes are a common issue for toddlers. On the downside it is one of the most common sites needing stitches. If they don't tear the skin, they will break some blood vessels & bruise. That bruise will go through some color changes over a week or so, from purple thru yellows. Bright red would be unusual. If the kid is acting normal I would just monitor it. If his behavior bothers you have him
