Younger children: don't get acne the way a teen or adult does. However, there are other causes for a red bump. If it's still there and becomes crusty or fluid-filled, you should see his/her doctor to make sure it's not impetigo. It could also be an inflamed hair follicle or skin cyst. If it's gone, no worries...unless it comes back.
