Ultrasound detected concrement 5 mm without acoustic shadow. the urine test is ok, no cristals. it was concluded that it needs to differentiate between stone and kidney calcification. can ct scan without contrast clarify it? i have iodine allergy.

Radiologist: This is a question for the radiologist. Would an MRI without any contrast be helpful? Are you truly allergic to iodide as it's in salt and other substances you probably were exposed to. Having had an allergic reaction to contrast in the past is definitely a warning sign, however and it would be dangerous to be exposed to it.
