C diff treatment: Sounds like your doctor is handling this just right. C difficile bacteria vary in their antibiotic sensitivity, i.e. which drug(s) will be effective. When it doesn't respond to a particlar treatment, like vancomycin, other antibiotics are needed. Take the new prescription as directed; check back with your doctor if any continuing concerns or further questions. Good luck!

Normal!: It is not uncommon in some children. If the stool is formed , child is growing i would not worry about it. It is often from green leafy vegetables, coloring agents in the food or simply due to rapid transit from small intestine to large intestine where it normally is tuned brown.

More info: "chicken bumps" are more commonly seen on the arms and legs and do well with cod liver oil (orally). On the face...Depends on the age. If a newborn is one thing. Older children i would want to see the rash before offering suggestions. In general there is a great cream..Called schmoove. Can be ordered from maker. Check it out at www.Franzcenter.Com under herbaceuticals.
