Citrate: Reactions to the citrate in plasma donations are rare and due to temporary loss of calcium. If you experience diarrhea after plasma donations, it would most likely not be from the citrate but due to a nonspecific reaction. Some people experience nausea or lightheadedness,for example.

Ive been constiapted and took magnesium citrate liquid which did give me watery, diarrhea (good amount) and eventually the stool was clear. Hours later I still have rectal pressure and a couple hours ago had small poops? Is this normal?

I took magnesium citrate liquid for constipation, my diarrhea is now a yellowish color (which I think means Im cleared out) but I still feel an uncomfortable pressure in my rectum, it makes me feel like I have to go to the bathroom. What could it be?
