PCOS ?'s: If your "contraception" has been with a combination oral pill (estrogen/progestin type), you should have some withdrawal bleeding during the "placebo" interval. If the contraception is a progestin only type, you may not have any bleeding for prolonged intervals. If you are using barrier or IUD , at 45 you may not have ovulated with PCOS. Ask your physician for an exam.

Amenorrhea: There are many causes of secondary amenorrhea, it is important to visit an Ob/Gyn since you have had a long period without your menstruation. A cause must be ruled in. Hope it help! :D
