A member asked:

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and was very active before i fell pregnant. ever since a week ago, every time i train (swim, bike or run) i bleed. i went to the gynea on 6 weeks, and she confirmed a normal pregnancy, no complications. should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Bleeding/pregnant: Bleeding after strenuous exercise at 6-7 weeks may be caused by inadequate progesterone production or what is called a "placenta previa". See your OB physician, who may begin progesterone medication and or repeat a pelvic U/S. Until then do not exercise as described, and follow your physician's recommendations.
