A member asked:

If someone has chlamydia and they take azithromycin and stops have sex for 7 days, do they no longer have it after the 7 days? if thats so, why does the doctor ask to come back 3 months later?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

About perfection...: Life is not perfect. Not everybody who takes a recommend medication gets rid of her infection. Each human is different and may respond differently to the same treatments. The recommended medication is what works in most people. One should follow up with her doctor to be sure the treatment worked and of course, to discuss whether or not there is a need to check for re-infection in the near future.
